Orchard Park

A Special Community in The Southtowns

One of the main attractions in Orchard Park is Chestnut Ridge Park which is situated on 1213 acres of the northern face of a series of hills. This sloping terrain of glacial sand, shale, and limestone rock have a complex, natural drainage system that is comprised of several immature creeks. The most notable being Shale Creek, the host to Eternal Flame Falls. The park itself is a destination; containing miles of cycling paths, hiking trails, playing fields, tennis courts, and picnic facilities. In winter, the hilly terrain draws crowds in for skiing, sledding, and snowshoeing.

Some parks are a better fit for people looking to relax rather than go on strenuous hikes and bike rides, and if that’s your preference, then head to Green Lake. Relax in the sun by the pool or head for the adventure camps to tire yourselves out. There’s always the golf course or tennis courts open in case you change your mind and want to get a quick game in, and you can also have a barbecue.

Football fans, both local and from out of town, who want to learn more about the history of the Buffalo Bills should put visiting Ralph Wilson Stadium on their to-do list the next time they’re in town. Also known as New Era Field, this spot provides plenty of opportunities for visitors to learn about former players and coaches.

Also, make sure you visit the Historic Village of Orchard Park with its shops, restaurants, and attractions.
