Tonawanda and Kenmore

A vibrant community with endless parks and unbeatable services

Located near the northern border of Erie County, Tonawanda, and its constituent village of Kenmore are bordered to the north by Tonawanda Creek (part of the Erie Canal) and to the west by the Niagara River. The Town of Tonawanda and Village of Kenmore share a school district affectionately referred to as "Ken-Ton"

Tonawanda was established in 1836 after separating from the town of Buffalo (now city) and sits across from its sister "City of Tonawanda".

The Town is comprised of 1.5 square miles of water and contains many green spaces, parks, playgrounds, sports fields, public pools, and pavilions - perfect to enjoy events from June through October - depending on the (sometimes unpredictable) Western New York forecast.
